Find a percentage of any number quickly, e.g. what is 15% of 200.
Quick answer: To find X% of Y, multiply Y by X and divide by 100. For example, 15% of 200 = 200 × 15 ÷ 100 = 30.
Worked example
15% of 200 is 200 × 15 ÷ 100 = 30. To find 15% quickly in your head, take 10% (20) and add half of it (10), which gives 30.
